Job Title: Home Study Coordinator/Foster Care Coordinator
Email Address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Favorite Bible Verse: James 1:12: God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Favorite Adoption Story: Previously, I worked with children in the foster care system to try to find them adoptive homes. Teenagers often age out of the foster care system and are unprepared for the responsibilities of being an adult. Finding an adoptive placement for a teenager can be a very difficult but rewarding task. One of my previous clients lost his mother to cancer while in foster care and he had no other family members who could care for him. My client spent over four years in foster care until meeting his forever family. The young man has flourished in the adoptive family’s home and is set to graduate high school this year.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Georgia
Responsibilities: Kimberly serves adoptive families through the home study process. She enjoys providing home study, post placement, and post adoption services to families. She also makes families feel at ease by giving meaningful support both pre- and post-adoption. Kimberly also assists in the development of the foster care program in Georgia by coordinating the recruitment, licensing, contract writing, and training of foster homes.
