I would like to thank you so very much for taking time to read this letter. I can’t imagine that this is easy for you. The Lord keeps whispering to me that there are two kinds of heroes-the brave kind that go in to save someone and then there are the humble kind that, out of unconditional love, choose to let something go. I consider you to be a hero.
I will share a little bit about us. My husband’s mother was adopted and my husband’s sister relinquished twin boys for adoption when she was 19. We are fortunate to keep in touch with the adoptive family and watch the boys grow into the young men that they have become. We currently have two biological children, MJ and Logan, who are 10 and 8. Within the last year, God has really laid it upon our family’s heart to pursue something that he has been whispering to us for many years. We are so ecstatic and ready to add more to the “team.”
Let me tell you a little bit more about the “team.” When Michael and I were married, we named our family (he and I and our Chihuahua) “Team Nuce.” The name has been with us ever since. We added to the “team” when MJ and Logan were born and anybody that knows us, knows us by “Team Nuce.” For us, it is such a reminder that we are in “life” together, no matter the ups and downs.
Michael and I live in a neighborhood full of kids. We have a greenbelt in front of our house and every summer, kids are coming in through the door for a popsicle break. Michael works in the oil and gas industry as a Service Supervisor. He works so diligently at what he does, so that I may stay home and continue to be mommy to my kiddos as well as teacher since we home school. My kids and I love being at home. We tend to dance in the kitchen-A LOT! We are on field trip adventures all the time. We also travel some and really enjoy learning together.
Both Michael and I enjoy working out and walking our dogs. We spend a lot of time at the grandparents playing on their acreage with our four-wheeler. I enjoy scrap booking. We are lovers of people, and so we are always getting together with our friends and families to spend time together. We love to go on hikes, camp, and watch our boys play in sports or swim. We also enjoy hanging out at home playing Uno or Yahtzee or any card game we can think of.
We would love to meet with you; if that is something you are comfortable with. We are also very open to exchanging information to keep in touch before and after the baby is born. However, we respect your privacy and will honor any decision you make whether that is little or no contact, occasional letters and photos, or as if you were just part of our extended family.
We care about you and are praying that God will direct your decision and that peace will abound in whatever you decide.
