Dear Birth Parents-keithandcara

We are Cara and Keith and we are so excited about this opportunity before us.  We want to thank you for considering us to raise one of life’s most precious things on  earth – your child.  We realize this decision has not been an easy one and while we don’t know everything you are going through, we want you to know the strength, courage and selflessness you have is admired and respected.

We love children and knew from the start that we wanted a family, however for the  last few years it seemed as though our dream of having a child would not become a reality, until now.

Keith and I met in 2004 when I leased him an apartment.  We immediately became friends and remained so for 4 years.  In late 2008 we decided to give dating a try and here we are more than 6 years later.  We were married in 2010 and had attempted to conceive on our own without any luck.  In 2012, we began fertility treatments and again, we had no luck.  We knew we wanted to be parents and even though we couldn’t have a child biologically, we wanted to give a child a home.  So in summer of 2014 we began our Adoption Journey.

Keith is my best friend and I could not imagine a day without him.  He makes me laugh daily and is my biggest cheerleader.  We spend most of our time together cooking, grilling, hiking, watching sports and playing with our dogs.  We live in a suburb of Atlanta and love exploring all the cities around us.  Whether it is a trip to the Georgia Aquarium, a day trip to attend a Greenville Drive game or to spend a relaxing day on the lake, we have a great time together and look forward to sharing those experiences with a child.

We realize that your journey has been difficult and at times a bit overwhelming, that is why we hope that you will take comfort in knowing that your child will be loved and cared for as if he/she was our own.  If it is your desire, we plan on keeping you updated as much as possible because it is so important for the child to know who they are.

Thank you again for taking the time to read our letter and we pray that you have peace in the days/months ahead.

Cara and Keith
