Dear Birth Mother,Brian and Anna 2

We are Anna and Brian, and like you, we have a story. We know and understand that our stories do not always go as we plan. Right now your story has been blessed with the gift of life, and you have some very tough but great decisions to make for you and your child. We have always planned to become parents one day and experience a family of our own. But when faced with infertility, our story took an unexpected turn, and we too had to make some difficult decisions. Then, we were led to adoption. And today our stories meet, not in sadness or regret, but because of a specific reason and a significant purpose. Our stories have come together so that a child can experience a great story. So we invite you to take a look into our journey from past to present.

Anna and I have had an incredible marriage for the past five years, and our relationship gets stronger each year. Anna is currently a 4th grade teacher, and I work for a church as a youth minister. Our jobs revolve around teaching and having fun with kids, which we feel is an excellent source of pre-parenting education. The third member of our household, who really rules the roost, is our 1 year old golden doodle, Duke. He is the softest, most lovable dog I have ever known who is always trying to snuggle up with us on the couch or bed!

In our spare time, we enjoy playing sports and living an active lifestyle. We absolutely love to travel together, whether it is to another country or around the United States. Some places we have been include: Ireland, Jamaica, France, Italy, Mexico, Arizona, and many trips to the beach. We believe it is important to experience other cultures, and if we are blessed with children, we will make sure they grow up experiencing different cultures as well. We also have a heart for mission work; trips to Mexico, Haiti, Arizona, and the Caribbean, as well as local missions, have provided many opportunities for us to serve. We are so thankful that God has blessed our lives, but we have a deep desire to share our adventures and story with a child whom we can love and cherish.

Anna and I would love a chance to get to meet you if you so desire. We are very laid back and friendly and are open to any form of communication that you prefer. We would even enjoy maintaining a relationship with you after the baby is born. In our opinion, an open adoption is very beneficial to everyone involved, but we will respect whatever decision you choose to make in those regards.

God is not finished with our stories. “’For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’” We want you to know that we are praying for you and your baby and wish you all the best as you make preparations for the coming days and months.

Why are you interested in building a family though adoption: Even before we were married we talked about our desire to adopt a child. We have been trying for the past 3 years to have children of our own and feel that we have been confidently led down the path of adoption. We cannot wait to build our family through adoption.

We believe that living a life that follows Christ makes the world a better place and produces true happiness.
