Other Donations Feel free to mail or drop off gifts for our birthmothers (Such as products from Bath & Body Works, gift cards from Target or Wal-Mart, gas cards, phone cards, and anything else you might think of). Additionally, you may drop off gifts for young children that our social workers can take with them when they visit various shelters in Southern California. For the children who are not adopted, or haven’t been placed with a family yet, Nightlight strives to make life a little brighter. Many of our client families and their friends generously donate:
These items are put into Nightlight duffle bags and sent with our families when they travel to Russia or Kyrgyzstan to adopt their children. ______________________________________________ The Tricycle Guild Are you looking for a fun way to get involved in a service project? Look no further. Nightlight has formed a guild – a group of volunteers who will help plan our events, such as the Summer Reunion, the Golf Tournament, and the Gala Dinner. We have periodic gatherings to socialize and brainstorm, and then we meet more frequently before our large events. Please call Kathryn Deiters at the office if you would like to get involved in any of these groups. ___________________________________________

Cars 4 Causes No matter where you live, you can call Cars 4 Causes at 1-800-766-2273. Tell them that you want the proceeds to go to Nightlight Christian Adoptions. They will pick up the car (towing it if necessary) without any charge to you. They will fix up the car, sell it, and send Nightlight a check. ____________________________________

________________________________________ The Babushka Fund The Babushka Fund was established to help children who might not otherwise be adopted find forever families with parents who might not otherwise be able to afford all the costs of an adoption. Babushka is the word for grandmother in Russian, the person who historically has been considered the protector of the children. We have dedicated this program to the grandmothers who have spent countless hours on their knees in prayer, in the kitchen preparing meals, comforting children who miss their parents, and passing on a lifetime of love and learning. International adoption is an expensive process and there are never enough funds available to help all of the families who might need it. Therefore, the financial assistance available from the Babushka Fund is limited based on the needs of the family and the special needs of the child to be adopted. Families who are interested in adopting a special needs child should submit an application for assistance from the Babushka Fund. Grants will be given based on the availability of funds. The goal is to help the maximum number of children. How can you help? Most importantly, through your prayers for the children.
The Babushka Fund is a program of Nightlight Christian Adoptions, a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) corporation dedicated to helping children throughout the world. Donations to the Babushka Fund are tax deductible. Although friends and relatives may help specific families by paying for adoption costs directly to Nightlight, such payments are not tax deductible and do not involve the Babushka Fund.
