To a Special Person:

Hello! We are Bobby, Lauren, Cole, and Olivia Grace and we are hoping to expand our family once again through the joys of adoption. After years of infertility and endless medical procedures, we felt that God’s plan for us was to adopt. We have been blessed beyond belief through the adoptions of Cole in September 2001 and Olivia Grace in February 2004.

Through the adoption process we were awed by the amazing strength of Cole and Olivia’s first mothers and the love we all feel for them. We are thrilled at the prospect of adopting once again. If we are blessed with another we feel our family will be complete.

We live in a three bedroom (soon to be four bedrooms with our new room addition), ranch-style home in the city of Yorba Linda with our dog Macy, bird Rosie, and our goldfish, Goldfish 2. (Goldfish 1 has moved on to bigger and better things!) Yorba Linda is a quiet, family-oriented city where you routinely run into your neighbors at the park or the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. Our neighborhood has several children who spend their time riding their bikes around the block or swim in our community pool. Most importantly, we live only two miles from Lauren’s parents (Mammy and Pop according to Cole and Olivia). We all attend church and eat dinner together on a weekly basis.

Our greatest joy is spending time with family and friends. Lauren has lived in Orange County all of her life, surrounded by both her immediate and extended family. She has an older brother, Scott, who is single and a younger sister Jenifer who is married and has a ten-year old son. When we get together for the holidays with the extended family, we now total a whopping count of forty people. Once a year, we vacation with Lauren’s family boating on the Colorado River and often take Pop’s boat out in the ocean in search of dolphins and seals.

Bobby was raised in Hawaii where his family continues to live. His immediate family consists of his mother, father, and younger brother. His brother, Jeff is married and has two daughters ages five and two. Bobby is also blessed with a warm and welcoming extended family. Every Sunday his family gets together at the beach for a picnic. Family is very important to the Hawaiian culture and so they greet every new person with a hug and kiss. It was this warmth and our mutual focus on the importance of family that ultimately drew us to one another when we first met while attending Cal State Fullerton. Bobby had moved to the mainland to go to college. Although it is difficult for him to be away from his family, we frequently visit and his parents (Cole and Olivia’s Papa and Puna- Hawaiian term for beloved elder) come to California at least once a year.

Lauren wrote the following about Bobby

Bobby has a degree in Business Management. He is a sales manager for a suncare company where he oversees the sales force in California, Arizona, and Nevada. He has a home office, which affords him the opportunity to be an integral part of all of our lives. Bobby is a kind-hearted, generous person. He is always willing to help someone out and is often turned to for support by both family and friends. He loves to laugh and can often be found in the middle of a party telling a story or a joke.

Bobby is naturally athletic and loves to wakeboard, work out, and golf. He is a dedicated father and husband and literally lights up when his kids run to him at the end of a long day. It warms my heart to see him playing baseball with Cole or reading a book all cuddled up with Livvie. Witnessing the love and bond between Bobby and his children has been better than I ever imagined.

Bobby wrote the following about Lauren

Lauren has a degree in Child Development. She is a part-time teacher at the Elementary School, which is located just three blocks from our house. What made me love Lauren so much is her love of children and how she interacts with them. She is loving, sincere, and has a great sense of humor. She enjoys reading, the outdoors, and especially spending time with Cole and Olivia. During the summers and days off the three of them have a jam-packed schedule of dance class, sports, and trips to the park or the beach. Lauren is the kind of mother every child dreams about. She is patient and so loving with our children and puts her family above all else. The kids and I are truly blessed to have Lauren in our lives.

Future Big Brother, Cole

Cole is an active boy who loves to play outside throwing the ball or playing make believe. You never know if he will be Batman, a cowboy, or his latest, a pirate. Cole is a comical boy who loves to entertain people. When he gets a laugh, he smiles huge with those big dimples! One of Cole’s best attributes is his caring heart and his attentive nature with his little sister. Cole hopes to one day have a little brother he can teach “all the ropes” to. Olivia on the other hand votes for a sister to play dolls with!

Future Big Sister, Livvie- Grace (Olivia)

Olivia Grace is an easy-going girl who lights up our house. She is quick to wrap her precious little arms around our necks and plant big kisses on our cheeks. She loves to sing and dance and is truly our princess. Livvie loves to run and chase with Cole and Daddy and can hold her own with the boys. Olivia also loves to play with her dolls and dress up in her fashion garb, but can also be found showing us her latest karate moves! She will be a wonderful big sister with her heart of gold and sweet nature.

Ending Note

We count it a blessing that you are considering us as possible parents for your child. We understand the decision you face must be extremely difficult and overwhelming. Please know that we will keep you in our prayers. We hope through this letter you have gotten a true picture of what our family is all about. Our family has abundance of love to give and would love to share that love with another child. Our belief is that God ultimately matched us with our children’s mothers and will again lead us to our next child. Thank you for considering us.

With utmost respect,

Bobby, Lauren, Cole, and Olivia Grace
