Every year Nightlight brings children to Southern California from orphanages overseas. In past years we have brought children from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. In 2009, we brought over children from Taiwan for the first time.
Nightlight Christian Adoptions and Detsky Dom Partners partnered together to bring children from Russia and Taiwan to Southern California during Summer 2010. The children's ages ranged from 7-15 years old.
During their stay, the children performed native dances and sang native songs at churches around the Southland from July 6 – 23, 2010. Their trips included Disneyland, the Orange County Fair, and a beach party. The Russian children also toured and performed in Colorado from July 25-28 before heading back to Russia.
If you would like to host a child in your home next summer, you will need either a homestudy completed by Nightlight Christian Adoptions or have begun the process by:
All of our host families will also need to:
It will cost approximately $2,000 to bring each child over (airfare, health insurance, and a portion of the chaperones’ expenses). We ask that all host families help to support the financial expense of bringing a child over through fundraising efforts beforehand.
