November 3, 2009 -- The Ukrainian adoption authority (SDAPRC) has announced measures to curb the spread of H1N1, including a hold on all visits to orphanages by prospective adoptive parents. Our understanding is that this is not stopping the process of adoptions but simply interferes with families who are in-country visiting the children in orphanages. We will let you know of any further updates. You can also find updates at JCICS's Ukraine notices page.
