Jeff & Deanna

We are Jeff and Deanna and we are so excited about growing our family through adoption! Thank you for considering us as prospective parents for your child. We don't know how to put into words the feelings that we have for you and your unborn baby. We realize that this must be the most difficult decision you have ever considered and we admire your courage and strength! We are overwhelmed by your brave and selfless choice.

From the very beginning we have always desired to have a family together. We could picture ourselves sitting around the dining room table with our kids and sharing hours of laughter in a home that was a haven of love and a place where we made many wonderful memories. A year and a half after we were married, we welcomed our first bundle of joy on December 4, 2002. Aaron has been such a wonderful gift to us and has filled our lives with more love and joy than we could have ever imagined.

When Aaron was two years old, we decided to try for a second baby and after two years of trying, Deanna became pregnant again. We were so excited! But it was not in the Lord's plans for us to keep our baby. After 3 months, we found out that we had lost our baby. We were of course devastated, but the Lord really helped us and gave us so much peace at that time. We continued to try for another baby for several years and finally realized that it just wasn't going to happen. We discovered that Deanna has what they call secondary infertility, where for reasons that doctors cannot explain, she has not been able to become pregnant again, even after having been pregnant twice. We feel that the Lord has led us down the road of infertility for a reason and we now know that adoption is the very best choice for us. We can't wait to see how our family will grow through adoption!

Aaron turned 7 this past December and we are so blessed to be his parents! He is all boy! He has lots of energy and loves to talk and talk and talk! He loves to be with people and still loves to cuddle up with us while we read to him or just talk. He has a really sweet and caring personality. We get lots of hugs throughout the day and hear, "Mommy, Daddy, I love you!" many times a day! He loves superheroes. Spiderman, Batman, Ironman... you name it! He likes Transformers and Scooby-Do! He keeps us running all day with his nonstop energy! We have been very open with Aaron about this adoption and he is so excited about being a big brother. We have a four-month-old niece and Aaron has loved being around his little cousin. He says he can't wait to have a baby brother or sister!!

We have been living in Spain since September 2007. We are missionaries and are working alongside Deanna's Dad, Mom, sister, brother and his family in a church there. We live in a city about 25 minutes from the capital, Madrid. Although we live so close to a big city, where we live is very peaceful in comparison. Aaron goes to a school about 10 minutes away and has lots of friends! Although we speak English at home, Aaron also speaks Spanish fluently. We also own a home in Georgia, where we lived for years after we first got married.

We come back to the States often to see our friends and family here and want our kids to also have a love for their country as well. We love spending time together as a family and have a Family Fun jar that we keep in our kitchen where we save loose change in and do fun things like going to the movies, bowling, going out to eat, going to the fair..you name it! We try to have at least one family outing a month. We also love to travel and have been to many cities around the world! We have travelled to several countries in South America and now that we live in Europe, we can easily drive to countries like France and England. One of our favorite vacations ever is going to Disney World. We think Mickey is the best!!

We have been blessed with a wonderful family and are so thankful to have many of them living so close to use. We also have so many wonderful friends, both here and in Spain that we can always count on. Our families are so looking forward to having another baby to love on and spoil!

Jeff has a very flexible schedule with the work he does from home and Deanna is a stay-at-home Mom. We will raise our children to have strong values and to be men and women of character. They will grow up in a very loving environment where they will always know that they can come to us and talk about anything! They will receive countless hugs and kisses and "I love you's" throughout their lifetime. We want them to feel protected and loved and appreciated for each of their individual strengths and for who they are. We are here to encourage them and strengthen them to grow up to be loving, caring, and kind individuals.

Please know that you will always be greatly loved in our home for the precious choice that you made and looked up to as a hero to your child. We will make sure they understand how much you loved them and how special the choice was that you made. We welcome the chance to get to know you and to keep in touch over the years if you wish. We want your child to understand how deeply loved they are by you. We will be forever grateful for this priceless gift that you are allowing into our hearts and lives.

She also sings and has recorded two music CD's with her brother and sister. She is also a photographer.

Home: We live in Spain as missionaries. We also have a house in Georgia and come back for visits all the time!

Finances: Good. We think it's important that we manage our money wisely and the Lord has blessed us and allowed us to live debt free!

Why are you interested in building a family though adoption: After a miscarriage and 5 years of trying for a second baby with no results, we feel that the Lord has led us down the road of infertility to show us that His will is for us to choose adoption. We now feel that this is His first choice for us and can't wait to grow our family through adoption!

Openness to Birth parents: We want to choose a level of openness that is comfortable for both us and the birth parents. We want to be sure that the birth parents are happy with whatever choice is made.

Childcare Plans: Deanna is a stay at home Mom and plans to continue to stay home for as long as our children are growing up.

Statement of Faith: We believe that the only way to God for salvation is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. He is not just a part of our lives, but at the center of everything that we do!
