Dear Birth Parents:
Thank you for taking the time to read about us. We feel so privileged to be able to share our life stories with you! Our prayer is that you will seek God in searching for the best life for your child. We have so much respect for the decision you are making in your life right now. Hopefully, our story will help you in making that decision for your child.
After being married for 2 years, we decided we wanted to start our family. We started trying to get pregnant in October 2006. In November 2008, after 2 years of trying to get pregnant with no success, the possibility of adoption entered our minds. We prayed about this decision and one day, Baron said these simple words that motivated us to continue: "Maybe God hasn't given us a baby yet because he wants us to adopt." Those words began our journey into the process of adoption. Our adoption process was put on hold when, in January 2009, we found out that we were pregnant. Devastatingly, we learned in March 2009 that we had lost the baby.
Once God got us through our time of grieving, we were once again reminded of Baron's words from months before ... "Maybe God hasn't given us a baby yet because he wants us to adopt." So, we started back into our adoption process, and this time our hearts were even more convinced that this is God's plan for us.
Our biggest goal in raising a family is to raise our children to know and love Jesus Christ as their personal savior. We are Christians who firmly believe in the love of God, the power of prayer, and the hope of an eternity spent in heaven. Teaching our children to live their lives in a way that pleases God is our first priority as parents. We want them to grow in their faith just as we are growing in ours every day. While we will do our best as parents, we also know that "it takes a village to raise a child". We have an awesome support system in our family & friends to help us raise our children. The focus of our job as parents can be summed up with this scripture from Proverbs 22:6: "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."
We firmly believe that God has a plan for all of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future." We cling tightly to the promise that God is taking care of us through His plan. Our favorite verse since we got married has been Romans 8:28, which states, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." God is working His plan in our lives, and He is working His plan in your life as well. Our prayer is that you will trust Him to work all things together for your good and the good of your baby.
Praying for you,
