Taiwan Adoption Program
Nightlight’s Taiwan Adoption program is much like adopting a child who has become available here in the U.S. You will receive pictures and a thorough report on your child. Nightlight is contracted to work with the Chung Yi Welfare Foundation, which in November 2012 Chung Yi was once again accredited to place children internationally. Ukraine Adoption Program
Nightlight’s Ukraine Adoption program has been active since 1998 through our South Carolina office (which was formerly Carolina Hope Christian Adoption Agency) and has since moved to our Colorado Office. The fees for an adoption from Ukraine are reasonable, and we estimate that the process will take about one year from application to completion depending upon the type of child you are seeking to adopt. Your wait time will likely be at the shorter end of this range if you are open to a special needs or older child. To learn more about the Ukraine Adoption Program, click the title above.
Uganda Adoption Program
New applications for this program are not being accepted at this time.
In 2010, Nightlight helped start Tender Hearts Baby’s Home, an orphanage primarily serving babies and toddlers, in Kampala, Uganda. This orphanage is working in conjunction with a pro-life ministry offering women alternatives to abortion. In addition, we began an adoption program in Uganda. In the fall of 2011, Nightlight began an affiliation with A Helping Hand Adoption Agency and our Uganda program coordinator, Lisa Prather, became the Executive Director of A Helping Hand. Therefore, in January to maintain consistency for Uganda clients and in country staff, the Uganda program was transferred to A Helping Hand so that the program could remain with the program director. The Uganda adoption program is progressing steadily. We have seen a tremendous increase in interest for this program. Nightlight continues to be heavily involved in the Uganda adoption program and continues to raise funds and take mission teams to Uganda twice per year. Romania Adoption Program
In October, 2012, Nightlight Christian Adoptions acheived accredidation to process adoptions of children from Romania. For the last decade, children in Romania could only hope for adoption, because Romania prohibited adoption to foreign countries. But now, Romanian adoption has became a real possibility for families where at least one adoptive parent is a Romanian citizen. Romanian adoption is a wonderful option in international adoption. The fees for a Romania adoption are reasonable and children three years of age and older are available. To learn more about the Romania Adoption Program, click the title above.

Cambodia Adoption Consulting
January 2013 Update: Cambodia has taken initiatives to bring an adoption program that is in compliance with the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoptions as of January 1, 2013. However, on January 2, 2013, the U.S. State Department has issued a statement saying U.S. adoptions agencies cannot provide services at this time to US citizens wishing to adopt from Cambodia until Cambodia is in more complete compliance with the Hague Convention. As soon as Nightlight receives further information, we will post this to the website.
China Adoption
Nightlight Christian Adoptions is pleased to provide a China adoption program in partnership with our affiliate agency, A Helping Hand. In October 2011 Nightlight and A Helping Hand entered into a legal contract so that we are aligned in serving families. Together we provide optimal services to our families seeking to adopt a child with special needs from China and other countries. There are now 8 new China children whose pictures and information we can share with interested families. In addition, there are more than 1,500 children from China who are awaiting families, and we at Nightlight would love to talk with you about these waiting children.
Nightlight has maintained partnerships with other agencies with which we worked prior to our affiliation with A Helping Hand in 2011 to present a strong China adoption program and continues to do so that all families in process are well served.

Hong Kong Adoption Program
Nightlight Christian Adoptions is excited to announce the opening of our new Hong Kong Adoption program through our affiliate agency A Helping Hand Adoption Agency. The Hong Kong Adoption program is unique because prospective adoptive families receive a great deal of information about the child they are considering including: medical reports from the time the child entered care; educational reports; social history; and as much information about the birth family as has been recorded. When a family expresses an interest in adopting a specific child, they make application with Po Leung Kuk to review that child’s entire file before proceeding with the adoption. Children from 1 year to 15 years of age with special placement needs are available for adoption. Special placement needs may include medical health needs, mental health needs, or birth family issues. Some waiting children have moderate to severe special needs such as Thalassemia or down syndrome, and some older children are available who have no apparent medical problems. United Kingdom Adoption Program
The Hague Convention governs adoptions between the United Kingdom and United States. There are few adoptions between the countries and at this time, those adoptions are limited to the adoption of children by relatives in the United States. Nightlight Christian Adoptions has helped families adopt nieces and nephews who were in custodial care in the UK. US families have adopted less than 20 children from the UK over the past 5 years.
